Volunteers are a vital part of the
operation of the DSVCC.

Some volunteer positions require initial and ongoing training required by funding agencies

Board Member -

The Board of Directors is comprised of a broad spectrum of community members. Each member goes through an application approval, criminal background check, and orientation. Board members meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month to approve financial reports and policy updates. The board meets annually to critique the agency strategic plan, and meets randomly in subcommittee's which cover areas of fundraising, community awareness activities, etc. Board members are required to do training each year in retrospect to issues of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Crisis Line Advocate -

Crisis Line Advocates provide a very important service for our agency. They allow us to provide 24-7 contact from victims of sexual assault and domestic violence when the office is otherwise closed. Your caring is important in healing our divided violent world. Thank you so much to our current and past volunteers !!

Office Assistant -

Crisis Line volunteers have the opportunity to be on the receiving end of phone calls during regular business hours at the office. This also gives volunteers a better opportunity to see how day to day operations take place.

Committee Member -

There are several functions within each committee that do not require any prior training. Current operation committees include fundraising, foundation, and community awareness.

Other -

No training is required to do other very important duties for the agency. These types of tasks include collecting donations, participating in fundraisers, business poster project, and other community awareness activities.

Vote Power -

The State Coalition is also accepting applications for volunteers who can assist our clients with childcare, transportation, etc on election days
